All of Madrid's art treasures are not in the Prado. At the Villa Real guests
may enjoy one of the most important pirvate collecitons of Greek and Roman antiquities.
Rare museum quality art treasures dating from the 4th Century B.C. to the 5th
Century A.D. are on display throughout the property. The collection is comprised
of 60 rare Roman mosaics, a number of unusually large Greek vases and a five
foot high marble statue dipicting Asklepios, god of medicine, which dates form
the 1st Century A.D. Most of the treasures are displayed in public areas such
as the dining room, the bar and the lobby and you will propably find some in
your room.
For incredible cuisine you don't have to travel far, Restaurant Europa serves
award winning Mediterranean cuisine. For creative cuisine step into Restaurant
East 47, and Italian dishes can be enjoyed at Restaurant Tratoria Del Frado.
Our concierge can make arrangements for Golf, horse riding, ice skating, tennis.
And for active guest a jogging trail is located very close to the hotel along
with a Gymnasium. You will want to spend all day at the incredible museums nearby
such as the Prado, Reina Sofia Museum and the Thyseen-Bornemisza Museum. After
an active day a massage is a must, simply schedule the massage with the front
desk.
